He must be familiar with the business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques as well as production methods and coordination. He has to identify complex problems and review related information to develop options and implement solutions. He can apply logic and reasoning as well as mathematical and scientific rules and methods to solve problems. He must possess a competent knowledge in the structure and content of the English language which includes word spelling, rules of composition and grammar. This will be very useful in communicating through writing and preparation of reports. It would also be advantageous for Mechanical Design Engineer to have knowledge in circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
